On Janurary 25th, 2025, we had our first Arts volunteering meeting of the year at Oakton Regional Library where we continued to make our ThyroCure booklets, filled with creative activites for patients! We also made cards with drawings and inspirational messages for patients to be uplifted by.
In December 2024, 30+ student volunteers met at Centreville Regional Library to make our first ever ThyroCure patient booklets! In these handmade booklets, pages are filled with activites, such as crosswords and coloring activities, and inspirational messages from our volunteers that aim to lift up Thyoid Cancer patients. These booklets, once finalized, will be sent out to local hospitals
On November 2024, ThyroCure held its first ever Awards Ceremony where we were proud to honor 33 volunteers who had won various levels of the National President's Volunteer Award, accumulating a total of 7500+ volunteer hours. We are so proud to have our volunteers and are grateful for their time, dedication, and efforts that has made ThyroCure the success that it has become.
In another library meeting, participants made paper flowers and cards to uplift patients in healthcare facilities. The event provided a creative and therapeutic outlet, while also educating attendees about thyroid health. This initiative reinforced ThyroCure's commitment to community engagement and holistic well-being.
ThyroCure participated in the vibrant Viva Vienna festival, raising awareness about thyroid health through an interactive booth. Attendees learned about thyroid conditions, received educational materials, and engaged in fun activities. The event successfully connected ThyroCure with a diverse community audience, highlighting the importance of thyroid wellness.
At the annual Techstrav event, ThyroCure showcased its innovative approach to thyroid health, engaging with tech enthusiasts, healthcare professionals, and investors. The team highlighted the role of technology in early diagnosis and patient education, gaining valuable feedback and exploring potential collaborations. The positive response underscored the growing interest in ThyroCure's mission.
At one library event, ThyroCure organized a workshop where participants crafted cards and stuffed animals to donate to local hospitals. The session combined creativity with education on thyroid health, fostering a sense of community and support. Attendees appreciated the opportunity to learn and contribute to a good cause.
ThyroCure hosted a music meeting at the National Children's Hospital, featuring live performances to create a comforting atmosphere for young patients and their families. This event highlighted the therapeutic power of music and ThyroCure's holistic approach to health. The positive reception underscored the importance of emotional well-being in healthcare settings.
