When the Founder of ThyroCure reached out to me and asked me to join this journey, I could not have said no after hearing his story about how he struggled and came out victorious in his fight with cancer. I hoped that everyone could have a story like that. Even as their bodies wage war with themselves, they continue the long battle to come out standing at the top. That is the reason I decided to join ThyroCure, I wanted to try and make at least one person's life better, improve at least one patient's hospital experience, and let them know that there is hope, and it can get better for them so they should stay strong and continue to fight. Here at ThyroCure, we hope to help alleviate and improve the hospital time of patients undergoing treatment, specifically patients struggling with Thyroid Cancer. From various STEM activity boxes that fuel their creativity and critical thinking to magazines spreading awareness about Thyroid Cancer to in-person hospital visits with musical performances to donations that help fund new research and advancements in cures. As the COO of ThyroCure, I strive to enable our teams to put forth their best foot to create the best possible result for these patients and create a positive change for these individuals. Although our organization may be new and small, our mission is not. In the coming years, we want to grow the organization in size, spreading awareness and increasing our impact, starting with one patient at a time.
Sincerely,
Agastya Nutalapati - Chief Operations Officer
Dear Reader,
Thyrocure was inspired by the founder's personal challenges, a vision that resonates with all of us at Thyrocure as we strive to help those in need. The thought that a child younger than myself could endure the traumatic and tragic reality of cancer is something that should never exist. However, it is the unfortunate truth that thousands of young children face. This is why I have devoted my passion to mitigating such a grim reality by leading the project here at Thyrocure, where we aim to provide aid to hospitalized kids. From developing a magazine to spread awareness of thyroid cancer and other cancers within our local communities, to handcrafting STEM boxes that nurture the curiosity of young audiences, and visiting hospitals to inspire smiles through musical performances and participation in arts and crafts, I am committed to ensuring that Thyrocure makes as much of an impact as possible for our younger counterparts, even at a young age. My vision for Thyrocure extends beyond just a high school effort; it is about making a lasting impact by continuing this legacy through my college years and making a difference in a society where cancer devastates families and friends. The board, officers, and members of the Thyrocure community are all united in our determination to support our founder's vision of providing hope in times of dire need, so I look forward to expanding this vision to reach those who need it most.
Sincerely,
Joshua Lee - Chief Sustainability Officer
